Here at Corner Stone Construction our priorities are Safety first, Quality always, followed by Productivity. We employ these principles in every decision we make, and make sure our workforce not only understands these priorities but live by them in the field. Our highest objective is centered around our most valuable asset - our employees.
We are determined to send our workforce home in as-good, if not better, condition then when they show up to work each day. We do that through an extensive safety program focused on proactive safety practices and employee training, empowerment, and support.
While safety is viewed as a team approach, we do have a full-time Safety Director, Mike Bales, guiding our efforts. Mike has a safety degree from Eastern Kentucky University and got his start in safety in early 2008 where he spent the first six years of his career in Iowa with a Fortune 500 company. In 2014 he made the move to southern Wisconsin where he worked as the Safety Manager of a large mechanical contractor and then as a consultant for a nation-wide construction association. He is an Authorized Outreach Instructor for the OSHA 10 & 30 hour courses, First Aid/CPR/AED trainer, and a Crane Institute of America Certified Crane Operator.
